On a stormy Saturday night, March 28, 2009, Midwest Paranormal Investigations sent three teams to the Guild. I had informed Guild member Chuck Colson beforehand of their coming, and asked if he would like to attend as an observer. He asked if he could bring his brother Doug, who is not a member, along, to which I replied, ‘‘Yes.’’
  The evening after the investigation, I checked my email. To my surprise, Doug had submitted a report. With his permission, I hereby present his first-hand account of his experiences.                      -- Don Love

I was able to be at the paranormal investigation with my brother, ‘‘Chuck’’ Colson, during the recent investigation, March 28th. I'm a bit of a skeptic, but am intrigued by the subject....I have never had an encounter myself, but my brother has had several over our lives.

Here's my story: I arrived about an hour before the paranormal team with my brother. We met with Don & Debbie Love at the door. We stepped into what appeared to be a sitting room on the 1st floor. During our wait for the team to arrive Don & Debbie proceeded to give me the history of the Theater

About 10 minutes into the conversation I noticed that it sounded like someone walked up the stairs to the theater area. I turned around to listen. Finally Don asked what was wrong and I asked him who was upstairs. He replied that we were all alone....this puzzled me so we went upstairs to check to find no one there.

I asked Don if I could place a small MP3 player (bought at Wal-mart for $29.00). It's a Pearl MP3 player. I set it to voice note which it had 1 GB memory and placed it at the top of the stairs very near the stage. We left it up there for 10 minutes and then retrieved it.

The team arrived about 20 minutes later and with great pleasure they allowed my brother and me to participate.

Not speaking of their experiences, Only speaking of mine, some things I noticed was after my brother and I conducted an evp session in the ladies dressing room was a knock after asking that it reply with a knock. I asked the question, ‘‘Are you afraid of us?’’ and there was a faint knock. Then shortly after we asked for a second sign. After we explained we meant no harm, their was a sound of someone sitting down in the folding chair directly in front of us. This sound is caught on my sound recorder, I noticed it this morning.

Also after reviewing the sound files ...the 1st recording before anyone arrived we found a distinct moan that after turning down the speakers so that you couldn’t hear our voices down stairs, seemed to be close to the MP3 recorder.

Later I went up to watch the monitors and noticed a head peer around the corner on camera. I thought it was my brother but noticed on camera that he was down the hall.

Shortly after the investigation team came up from the basement where they claimed to see a head or partial apparition. We all proceeded down to the basement. They had set up a K2 meter and after a few hits on the K2 several noticed the head shoot across the was to the back room. They recieved hits on the K2 in response to questions.

I moved up the aisle so i could see. I had a most shocking thing happen. Something had touched me 3 times. It was pitch black. I asked my brother if it was him, then, turning on a light I was nowhere near anyone.

Then the lights were off again and that’s when I saw the head appear on the wall. It was about 4 1/2 foot off the floor and a foot away from the edge of the door. I could almost make out a face...it was quite shocking. My 1st instinct was to run but it was pitch black.

Each of us down there saw the same thing and it confirmed to me there was something paranormal going on.

I took pictures all night but got nothing on film. But the digital recorder was a great suprise . I gave copies of the files, even the pictures, to my brother to give to the theatre, so the Paranormal Investigators could have them for review.

I am very grateful for this opportunity and appreciate it a lot.
